Who can see my video?
Only your class and your partner class, and only after your teacher approves it. Nothing is published on the open internet and nothing is shared outside the exchange.
Why is my video still waiting?
Your teacher watches every video before it reaches the partner class. It usually takes a day or two, and you can follow the status in My Videos.
My video needs changes. What do I do?
Read your teacher's note under the video, fix what it mentions — normally sound or length — and send a new version. The old one stays where it is with its note; nothing is deleted behind your back.
What should I film, and how long?
Follow the activity your teacher picked. Two or three minutes is plenty. Film in landscape, hold the phone still, and record somewhere quiet — sound matters more than image.
My upload failed halfway. What now?
Check the file is MP4, MOV or WebM and under 2 GB. If it is, try again on a stable connection — the screen offers you a second attempt without making you fill the form in again.
What language should I speak?
Whatever the activity asks for. You choose the spoken language when you upload, so your partner class knows what they are about to hear.
Why is my video taking so long to appear after uploading?
Every video is converted before anyone can watch it. The upload screen waits with you and tells you when it is ready to be sent for approval.
Can I delete a video I already sent?
You can delete your own video from My Videos. Your teacher can also remove any video from the exchange, including yours.
Why can't the others see my comment?
Comments are approved by your teacher too. Yours is visible to you with a "waiting" label until she accepts it, and you can rewrite it while it waits.
What do I write in a comment?
Ask a real question about what you watched, or say what surprised you. Keep it in the language of the exchange and use the names people used in their video.
Can I appear in someone else's video?
Only if you want to. Nobody can film you without asking, and you can tell your teacher to remove a video you appear in at any time.
How do I change my password?
From My Profile. If you cannot get in at all, ask your teacher to send you a new invitation link.
The name next to my videos is wrong
Change it in My Profile. It is the name your class and your partner class see next to everything you send.
What happens to my account in summer?
In July, at the end of the school year, your account and the videos you uploaded are deleted. If your class takes part again next year, your teacher will send you a new link and you register again.
